“The greatest fighter in the world is the mother. Let’s honor the mothers of children with developmental disabilities this Mother’s Day. They are the real superheroes.
Unlike typically developing children, those with disabilities require additional attention and care. Though all parents prioritize their children, what sets mothers of children with developmental disabilities apart is their willingness to put a pause to their careers and personal aspirations to devote themselves fully to their child’s needs. Even if they have a good job, most mothers quit their jobs when they realize their children’s disability. What I want to say on this special day is that there is no need to end careers”.
