Prayatna celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm transforming the Centre into a colourful and vibrant cultural stage. The atmosphere was abuzz with music, flowers and laughter as the kids arrived with their parents, all dressed in traditional clothing. The festivities began with our charming star Bharath Krishna gracing the occasion donning the role of Mahabali and blessing every participant.
Therapists sang Onam songs and performed traditional ‘Thiruvathirakali’ that had everyone swinging their heads and bodies in unison. Our kids brought laughter and joy with their original performances. Adding an extra layer of fun were the friendly competitions and cheerful traditional games amidst staff which brought in roars of laughter and tons of energy.
The highlight of the day was the traditional Onam sadya, with all the staff sitting cross-legged on the floor, enjoying traditional delicious dishes served on banana leaves. This certainly made it feel like a big, happy family feast. This year’s Onam celebration at Prayatna ended on a perfect blend of culture, laughter, and togetherness, leaving lasting memories in the minds of every participant.
